A new track for 2008 which will use the streets of Valencia rather than the nearby track. The first race was unexciting and the track lacked any real character for the spectator.
Sebastian Vettel won the 2011 race from pole position, from Fernando Alonso in an improving Ferrari.
Sebastian Vettel won the 2010 race from pole position. Mark Webber had a serious accident and the resultant safety car caused some confusion with several penalties being given to drivers. Apart from this there was little excitement in the race.
In 2009 Barichello was his first race for Brawn GP and his first race for 5 years. Hamilton led from pole, but a problem in the pit stop let Barichello through.
