Alberto Ascari started riding motor bikes and then moved to driving cars. In 19 52 and 1953 seasons he was very dominant, winning the drivers championship in both years in a Ferrari. Moving to Maserati and Lancia in 1954/55 gave him an unreliable car. Unfortunately he was killed in a testing accident.
