The first polish driver in F1, who took over Villeneuve's drive part way through the 2006 season and scored a podium finish in his third race. Robert Kubica was the first Polish man to win a Grand Prix when he won the 2008 Canadian GP and he continued to have a goos 2008 season finishing 4th in the Drivers Championship on the same points as Raikkonen. The 2009 season was difficult for BMW and they pulled out of F1, so for 2010 Robert Kubica moved to the Renault team that were trying to recover from the race fixing scandal of 2009.
