Nigel Mansell was a driver who fans either loved or hated, but he was an entertaining character in the 1980's and early 1990's. He was the last driver to be signed for Ferrari by Enzo Ferrari himself. He finally won the world championship in 1992 with Williams and then went to the USA where he won the Indy Car series in his first season (the only driver to do this). His 1987 win at the Biritish GP is still regarded as one the great races of F1.
