Initially brought into F1 by
Frank Williams, after a year he moved the then struggling Benetton
team. Jenson had more success when Renault took control in 2002
before he moved to BAR in 2003. A third place in the drivers
championship in 2004 has been his best year so far, although his
first race win did not come until the middle of the 2006 season. He
finally became world champion in 2007, winning it by 1 point in the
final race of the season. By Raikkonens high standards he had a lack lustre 2008 season, although finally finishing 3rd in the Drivers championship. |
