The 1976 season was decided in the final race of the season. Niki Lauda had a crash in germany that left him severely burned. Amazingly we recovered and was back driving and leading the championship going into the final race. In bad weather Niki Lauda did not race and James Hunt scored enough points to win the Championship. James Hunt had moved to McLaren after Lord Hesketh had pulled the plug on the Hesketh team. Ferrari took their second Constructors title in as many years.
