Sochi Autodrom, Russia circuit details
The new track at Sochi which had its first race in 2014 is the fourth longest F1 track that is part new track and part using existing roads and is built around the Winter Olympic Park. The Russian GP was cancelled for 2022 and the contract terminated following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Race winner: Lewis HamiltonMercedes Lando Norris took his first pole position with George Russell 3rd on the grid in a Williams after a wet qualifying. Lando Norris was on course to win the race keeping his McLaren a head of the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. With 7 laps to go the rain started, most drivers came in for intermediate tyres, but Lando Norris stayed out for one lap than most which cost a lot of time, dropped him to 7th and gave Lewis Hamilton his 100th career win. Max Verstappen started at the back of the grid after taking an engine penalty but fought through to finish 2nd.
2020
Race winner: Valtteri BottasMercedes Valtteri Bottas won after starting third on the grid after Lewis Hamilton made errors and picked up penalties. Max Verstappen continued a good season for Red Bull with a second place ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
2019
Race winner: Lewis HamiltonMercedes Lewis Hamilton won from team mate Valtteri Bottas with Charles Leclerc in a Ferrari finishing third after starting on pole position.
2018
Race winner: Lewis HamiltonMercedes Lewis Hamilton won after overtaking Sebastian Vettel and then benefiting from team orders as Valtteri Bottas let him past.

Race winner: Nico RosbergMercedes Nico Rosberg won from pole position ahead of team mate Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen third in a Ferrari. Sebastian Vettel retired after en early collision with Daniil Kvyat.
2015
Race winner: Lewis HamiltonMercedes The preparation for the 2015 was disrupted by oil spills, rain and crashes, meaning all the teams had very limited running before qualifying. Nico Rosberg took pole position, but retired early with problems with his throttle. Two crashes early in the race led to two safety cars leading to cars going onto different tyre strategies. Lewis Hamilton won easily ahead of the consistent Sebastian Vettel. Sergio Perez took third position for Force India after Kimi Raikkonen took out Valtteri Bottas with a lap to go.
2014
Race winner: Lewis HamiltonMercedes The first Russian GP was won by Lewis Hamilton from pole position. Nico Rosberg made a mistake early on the first lap leading to a pit stop on lap 1 and recovered to finish second. Valtteri Bottas had another good race for Williams in third and Jenson Button was fourth giving McLaren one of their few good results of the season. Unusually for this season a few car managed almost the entire race on one set of tyres as the track was much less abrasive than expected.
