George Russell is a British driver who has come through the Mercedes young driver program and in his first three years with Williams he has shown is speed and quality as a driver, leading Mercedes to sign him for the 2022 season alongside Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes was the 4th fastest car on the grid and Russell achieved the best he could from the car. Knowing that Hamilton was moving to Ferrari he stepped up to take on the lead driver role in the team.
