Max Verstappen career
Max Verstappen is the son of the former F1 driver Jos Verstappen and came through carting and one season in Formula 3. He had comparatively little race experience when joining F1. When he started the first race of 2015 he was the youngest driver to start a race (17 years and 166 days) and the youngest driver to score points in his second race. His first race win was in Barcelona in 2016 and made him the youngest driver to win an F1 grand prix and also the youngest driver to be on the podium, and this on his first dive after being promoted to Red Bull. He is considered to be a quick driver but the Red Bull from 2017 to 2020 was not as quick as the Mercedes. However in 2021 he and Lewis Hamilton fought for the title down to the last controversial lap of the last race, leading him to win his first championship. He followed this with consecutive drivers championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Instagram
