Marussia team history

The Russian company Marussia bought a controlling interest in Virgin Racing at the end of the 2011 season, to run under the Marussia name from 2012. The team were consistently at the back of the grid and at the end of the 2014 season the team were hit by both financial problems and an accident that left left driver Jules Bianchi in a coma. After obtaining a new injection of funding the team was relaunched for 2015 back under its original Manor name.
