The Lotus company was bought by the Malaysian Proton company and the F1 team has been reborn for the 2010 season as joint venture with the Malaysian government. Although initially based in Norfolk, UK the team will move to new facilities in Malaysia. Technical director is Mike Gasgoyne (ex Jordan, Renault, Toyota, and Force India).Following arguments about the use of the name Lotus, from 2012 the team will race as Caterham F1 after the company bought the UK car manufacturer.
