Romain Grosjean career
Romain Grosjean was test driver for Renault in 2008 and midway through 2009 took over from Nelson Piquet Jr. His first full season in Formula 1 was in 2012 with Lotus in which he was second in Canada. His first season in F1 in 2012 was marred by a large number of crashes. Lotus had faith in his speed as a driver and kept him for 2013 and he had a better and less accident prone season. The 2014 car was not competitive and the hope was that the 2015 car was to be an improvement. For 2016 he moved to the new Haas F1 team and continued with them to 2020.
