F1 Championship 1960

In the 1960 season, only Ferrari were not running rear engined cars and struggled all season as they continued to run the 246. Their win at Monza was a the last for a front engined car. Jack Brabham took his Cooper T53 to a second consecutive drivers and constructors championship. After two non-competitive seasons, the move to rear engines gave Lotus and Sterling Moss a more competitive car with the Lotus 18. This season also saw the first appearances for up and coming drivers Jim Clark, Graham Hill and John Surtees.
