Formed by Craig Pollock, Reynard Racing and BAT in 1997 and then purchased theTyrell team. The team ran its first race in 1999 and promised much, but struggled in the first few years despite the input of former world champion Jacques Villeneuve. Much hard work and input from Honda led to improvement in the 2003 season and second place in the championship in 2004. At the end of the 2005 season the Honda company bought the remaining stake in the team, to race as a full works Honda team from the 2006 season.
