At the end of the 2005 season Honda bought the remaining stake in BAR to race as a full works team from 2006, but in 2007 the team failed to produce to competitive car. Ross Brawn arrived at Honda for the 2008 season and the team hoped he will bring his winning ways from Ferrari, however 2008 was a difficult season for them with both drivers stuggling for pace in qualifying and in the race.
