The Abu Dhabi circuit at Yas Marina was a brand new purpose built circuit for 2009 and hosted Formula 1's first twilight race.

In 2011 Sebastian Vettel retired with puncture on the first lap allowing Lewis Hamilton to win an exciting race that benefitted from using the DRS system to aid overtaking.

The 2010 race started with 4 drivers in with a real chance to win the drivers championship but Sebastian Vettel won the race to take the drivers championship.

In the first race in 2009 Red Bull finished first and second to complete a successful seson for them and Sebastian Vettel.
