F1 Championship 1957

In 1957 Juan Manuel Fangio moved from Ferrari to Maserati and won his fifth drivers championship with an updated 250F. Sterling Moss won the British Grand Prix at Aintree in a Vanwall VW5, which was the first championship victory by a British car (designed by Colin Chapman) and took second in the championship. Ferrari had a lacklustre season with no race wins for their 801. At the end of the season Maserati withdrew for financial reasons.
