F1 Championship 1958

The 1958 season was the first season of the constructors championship and was a good year for British drivers and forVanwall who won the first constructors championship. Mike Hawthorn won the drivers championship in the new Ferrari 246 Dino. Sterling Moss was second by 1 point in the Vanwall. It was another difficult year for the sport with 2 drivers being killed in races and and Mike Hawthorn being killed in a road accident after retiring at his peak at the end of the 1958 season. At the end of the season Vanwall withdrew from the championship.
