F1 Championship 1966

The 1966 season had a change to the engine rules, with the 1.5 litre engines being replaced with 3 litre engines. The teams had to search for suitable engines with Coventry Climax stopping producing racing engines. The Repco engine in the Brabham BT20 being the best and giving Jack Brabham his third drivers championship, this time in his own car. This season saw Bruce McLaren set up his own team.
