Nick Heidfeld career
Nick Heidfeld joined F1 with the Prost team in 2000, but at the end of a difficult season he joined Sauber. For 2004 he managed to secure a seat with Jordan and in 2005 moved to Williams, but missed part of the season due to injury. For 2006 he signed for BMW who had taken over Sauber. The 2007 car was an improvement on the 2006 and in 2008 there was further improvements with 5 podium finishes and helping BMW to 3rd in the team championship. The 2009 was not successful for either Nick Heidfeld or BMW, and at the end of the 2010 season they pulled out of F1. He moved to Renault for the 2011 season and finished the season in the middle of the field.
