The 1965 season saw Jim Clark take his second drivers championship and Lotus the constructors championship using the new 32 valve Climax V8 engine in a Lotus 33. Jim Clark also won his fourth consecutive British Grand Prix, this time at Silverstone. Honda entered a full team and won the final race of the season in Mexico City. BRM continued to run the P261 giving Grahma Hill second in the drivers championship and Jackie Stewart thrid in his first season in Formula 1.
