Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain circuit details

Barcelona has hosted the Spanish GP since 1991 and the track has also been used extensively for testing, so the driver and teams are familiar with the track. The track is a mixture of corners and fast straights. Although most of the winners have come from the front row of the grid, making qualifying important to a good race result, over taking is also possible. In recent years the circuit has struggled financially but has been supported by the Spanish government.
