Host of the Spanish GP since 1991 and also used extensively for testing. A mix of tight and long corners and longstraights.
In 2010 Mark Webber won the race from pole position. Lewis Hamilton crashed from second position with a tyre blow out with 2 laps to go. Michael Schumacher was fourth, but the Mercedes was slower than the Red Bulls and McLarens
The 2009 race continues the tradition of the pole sitter winning the race, with Jenson Button taking his 4th win in the opening 5 races of the season. The Ferrari cars were quicker this race than presvious races, but struggled again with tactics and reliability.
