Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola, Italy circuit details

The Imola track is effectively the home track of Ferrari and the Tifosi Ferrari fans. It has hosted the San Marino Grand Prix over a number of years. In the past the circuit was known for the challenging and dangerous Tamburello corner, but accident in 1989, 1991, 1992 and fatalities (Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger) in 1994 led to changes to slow the corner and make it safer. It lost its F1 status in 2007 but returned to the calendar in 2020 as the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. It is one of the few F1 circuits that is run anti-clockwise. For 2024 some of the gravel traps were brought closer to the track to encourage drivers to stay within track limits.
