Hockenheim, Germany circuit details
One of the longest circuits on the current calendar, with a mixture of very fast straights and a tight twisty section in front of the grandstands. The original track was built as a test track for Mercedes. THe current version of travk was developed in the earl 2000's and reduced the length of the track significantly and changed the nature of the circuit.

2014
Race winner: Nico RosbergMercedes Nico Rosberg took pole position in 2014 from the two Williams cars of Vallteri Bottas and Felipe Massa after Lewis Hamilton crashed out of qualifying with a brake failure. Nico Rosberg won from pole from Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton finished third after starting from the back of the grid. Ths was William's 300th podium and moved them up to 3rd in the constructors championship despite Felipe Massa being taken out in a first corner accident that was not his fault. Daniel Ricciardo showed his racing ability as he defended his position from Fernando Alonso.
