The circuit has been used since 1986 and is tight, undulating and narrow. With overtaking being difficult, it has the reputation of producing processional races. However the rain affected 2006 race was definitely exciting and finally gave Button his first F1 grad prix victory. The 2008 race was notable for being the first win for Kovalinen. In 2009 Hamilton won his first race of the season after massa suffered from a freak accident in qualifying.
