One of the great old and long tracks (15km
and notoriously dangerous), that lost its place
in the GP calendar because of the danger. It
returned in 1983 in revised and shortened form,
although it is still the longest circuit on the calendar.
The weather can be variable and changeable,
which makes the racing interesting and exciting.
Despite the changes this is still a good track
and Eau Rouge is still one the great corners in
F1.
The 2010 race was won by Lewis Hamilton from Mark Webber after Sebastian Vettel took out Jenson Button in an accident. As if often the case at Spa, the race was livened up by rain and a safety car.
The 2009 race was won by Kimi Raikkonen but the notable event of the race was Giancarlo Fisichella putting the Force India on its first pole position and then scoring the teams first points as he took second place.
Kimi Raikkonen lead for most of the 2008 race until rain 2 laps before the end cause all sorts of problems and Lewis Hamilton crossed the line first only to have a time penalty from the stewards for an overtaking manoeuvre.
